World Laughter Day

World Laughter Day is celebrated around the world each first Sunday in May.

This year, we will be celebrating this special day on Sunday, May 1, 2022.  WLD was conceived by the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria, in 1998.

World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of sister/brotherhood and friendship through laughter. It is most often celebrated by gatherings of people in public places with the sole purpose of laughing and celebrating joyfully. Its popularity has grown exponentially with that of the Laughter Yoga movement now counting thousands of laughter clubs in more than 115 countries.

This year 2022, there will be celebrations all over the world virtually and in-person.

Alexa will be hosting an in-person event- The Philadelphia Area World Laughter Day 2022 Celebration– at Rose Tree Park’s Gazebo, Media, PA 19063, from 2:00-3:00 PM. Click here for more information and to register.
